Member of the Global Command and Control System Army (GCCS-A)I Worked with Logi Xml to convert Sybase reports (Web Focus) to a more robust web interface. I Developed Oracle database views for the Adhoc reporting tool.I assisted in the migration of ASORTS USMTF reports to the web based NetUsr XML format. I received an award from the US Army (Army Commendation Medal) for work done during the migration of USMTF to XML.I assisted in maintaining ASORTS. Using JAVA, PERL, Unix Scripts, Sybase Stored Procedures and a small amount of Ada to make changes to the ASORTS system. I Developed detailed testing procedures for testing the changes applied to the software.I Developed, implemented and maintained a reporting system using Web Focus software (Web based). I converted Main Frame COBOL reports to Informix's New Era. I received the 'Commanders Coin Medal' for work done in the conversion effort. I Designed, developed, implemented and maintained the PC-based Army Status of Resources and Training System (PC-ASORTS) for the Army-unique portion of the Global Command and Control System (GCCS-A). This product is used by all Army echelons except Headquarters, US Army and Headquarters US Forces Command, to report Unit readiness status. (This product was used; I developed a detailed user document. I maintained a customer call center for PC-ASORTS users. I attended user conferences, presenting demos of new software releases and fielding questions.

I was responsible for the software for a Honeywell 6000 series main frame and the communications software. This included several DPS6's of which one was in Saudi Arabia.I worked as an on site analyst at the Washington Navy Yard. I was responsible for the communications software for the Honeywell Systems.I spent over 8 years in the Army serving in the WWMCCS community. Duties were in operations and communications.

As a lead team player, I worked for 8 years assisting Honeywell/Bull customers to solve performance problems. These problems included overall system performance, disk utilization, tape utilization, disk space requirements and communications. By analyzing current performance and reviewing historical data, I was able to help Data Processing Managers make correct projections concerning growth and workload trends. I made presentations of the findings to senior executives of government and civilian companies.; During this time, I wrote several programming tools to help in the analysis of performance data. I have written many programs using Microsoft COBOL 74/85 and Microsoft Professional Basic. Some of these applications include: Configuration Management tracking tools, UNIX save tape to Honeywell file conversion, Quality Assurance monitoring programs, Automating data entry to online systems and a software monitor for the Honeywell DSP6.I worked as a field support person.
