Profile bio

About Jim Pantelas

I have been active in many stages of medical and social science research for the past 16 years, and have recently returned to school with the goal of getting my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Public Health. I hope to use my experience writting and reviewing grant applications, coupled with my experience on multiple Institutional Review Boards (IRBs), and with my education, to earn a position within the office of research at a research institution. My ultimate goall is to serve in a capacity that would allow me to help others to identify appropriate funding mechanisms and sources for their research projects, consult with them as they develop their applications, and work with them to help keep their approved efforts on track.

Listed skills include Recruiting, Executive Search, Management Consulting, Talent Acquisition, and 46 others.

Since the beginning of 2007 I have functioned as a board member on a variety of committees within the health system, been a guest speaker in the university’s schools of medicine, nursing and social work, and functioned as a board member on an Institutional Review Board as a Community Member. For the health system’s C. S. Mott Children’s Hospital I sat on a Continuum of Care Committee, and on the institution’s Pediatric Ethic’s Committee. I also sat on the Executive Committee as the sole community member for the C.S. Mott Children's Hospital and Von Voigtlander Women's Hospital. On each of these committees I strove to represent the voice and perspectives of patients and their families. I will never give back as much as I and my family have been given by the U of M Health System, so I work to help make it the best institution of it’s kind, and am continually proud to be able to represent it and the families it serves.
