Author Jim Pecora is a Mining Historian, Lapidarist, and Jeweler. Pecora is the Executive Director of the New England Mineral Museum (NEMM), a New Hampshire Non Profit. Google "Pecoras Mica Mine Schoolhouse" which is the YouTube & traveling road show arm of the Museum that offers a multitude of educational programs to youth and adults alike.Jim and his NEMM Museum Board of Directors will orchestrate the goals of this organization with the assistance of 45 associate board members. These resources serve on 10 -12 small "Beam Teams" organized by functionality. This learning institution will be Highly Virtual and yet balanced with rich "in the field" educational programs for all, including family friendly tours for mineral collecting. These will combine with mineral displays at multiple locations throughout South Western New Hampshire and Southern Vermont. NEMM educational, historic preservational, and detailed research initiatives will span throughout New England and beyond. A physical hands-on Visitor’s Center will be opening in 2018, and will be located in the heart of the Keene NH Mining district – East Alstead, NH. On a personal note Jim is an avid photographer whose portfolio specializes in the portrayal of “Light” in its infinite interplay with the eye. Pecora is often known as “the Rock Guy” to children of all ages; he lectures & teaches throughout New England on the history of hard rock mining, minerals, Native American history & Geology. Lastly, he enjoys expressing his artistic abilities in several mediums & especially with wood & stone and Jim has a storefront on Etsy; CrystalRockArts.etsy.comPecora has authored a dozen full length multimedia lectures. Offered throughout New England by honorarium. They are based upon “Forgotten, Unknown, and Recreated History!
