Focused on innovating around broadband carrier and narrowband communication systems while advising the product organizations serving public safety customers.• Monitored, assessed and advised senior leadership on the development of Machine-Type Communication, Proximity Services, and Cooperative Multipoint technology advances within the 3GPP standard bodies and academia leading to a reprioritization of internal efforts. • Responsible for the simulator development and system level performance analysis of LTE/LTE-A for public safety use cases using C/C++. • Implemented and characterized the performance of the LTE random access channel detection algorithm within Matlab mitigating the risk of unconventional deployments for public safety customers. • Developed and transferred the two branch linear predictive receiver diversity algorithm shipping in the narrowband public safety base station radio resulting in extended coverage, reduced cost of deployment and enabling over $50M in APCO Project 25 Phase II revenue. • Created a linear compatible phase modulation and low complexity maximum likelihood sequence estimation receiver in Matlab enabling a cost reduced subscriber receiver architecture.
