I lead the new business push in Scotland, focusing on identifying and developing content that aligns with the company's goals of securing returning series commissions. We develop and pitch creatively distinct, commercially viable ideas that resonate with current and emerging audience trends. With a focus on delivering high-rating content and high-revenue re-commissions, I manage creative and commercial stakeholders to explore co-production opportunities and contribute to Firecracker's overall growth and profitability.

Led the development and pitching of unscripted projects tapping into Whisper's sports productions.

I was the creative lead with responsibility for developing content with global reach. I managed a team of four producers and researchers with a remit of creating attention-grabbing popular-factual formats. Sales included ‘Point Perfect’, and ‘The Art Game’ for the BBC.

I Exec-Produced several large-scale productions overseeing an office staff of 30 people and location crews of up 20 people. The award-winning and high-rating ‘Antiques Road Trip’ received a two-year£5 million contract from the BBC while I was its Executive Producer. This made a significant contribution to STV Productions’ annual profits.I also recruited and trained a Development Team that delivered STV’s biggest original commission of the year; a ten part series for Discovery.

I was the lead creative and business winner with overall responsibility for representing and managing the company’s Scottish operation. I developed and sold two original commissions that I Exec-Produced alongside existing productions. I was in charge of an office staff of 35 people as well as location, studio and post-production teams. My biggest contribution to company revenue was securing the recommission of ‘Fifteen to One’, which was approximately £4 million.

As Head of Victory Scotland, I established Sony’s first production base in Scotland. I recruited a Development Team that quickly built a slate of marketable ideas.

I was FremantleMedia Australia’s representative at global development forums and, on a number of shows, I fulfilled senior production roles. Two formats originating from this forum had significant international success; ‘Take Me Out’ and ‘Hole in the Wall’.I managed a Development Team of five producers and researchers who created the highest-rating debut show in Australia that year. I was also the production and creative lead on a live primetime series written and performed by Ben Elton.

I managed a team of four Development Producers and Researchers that delivered six series and three one-offs in three years.

I worked across several genres ranging from specialist factual to comedy entertainment. My role was to deliver ideas for original commissions while providing creative input into the existing slate of productions such as ‘The Apprentice’, ‘Distraction’ and ‘They Think It’s All Over’.

I was hired as part of the company’s Development Trainee Programme. My team developed entertainment formats that were commissioned by UK broadcasters and US networks. My team’s biggest successes were a 40 episode commission of the quiz ‘Beg, Borrow or Steal’ and the commission of the US network primetime reality series, ‘The Benefactor’.

Adam & Eve (then ‘BMP DDB’) was Agency of the Year when I was hired as part of their highly competitive Graduate Trainee Scheme. I have significant experience in devising marketing strategies and overseeing the entire creative process of making television, radio and print advertising.
