Since 2002, I've largely applied my skills to program evaluation, grant development and writing, teaching and training. More recently, I have ventured into conflict resolution, mediation, organizational learning, and systems thinking. I mediated criminal cases for DCJ's Community Mediation program, which receives referrals from the New Castle County Court of Common Plea through April 2013 until I accepted my full-time position. Still a DCJ mediator in spirit and hope to resume activity in 2016.
During this transitional period, I increased my involvement as a volunteer community mediator, began working to help my church develop future leaders, got more involved in other organizations to which I belong, and did a whole lot of learning related to evaluation, conflict resolution, negotiation, and leadership development.
Collaborated or led a variety of small and medium scale evaluation and survey projects funded by grants and contracts. Responsible for collaboratively developing grant and contract proposals and facilitated the development of grant writing capacity among staff. Provided a variety of trainings (on grant writing and evaluation) and also taught more than 150 traditional and non-traditional aged undergraduate students over the course of 3 years.

Coordinated a state-wide needs assessment of underage drinking for the Kansas Department of Transportation. Responsible for data collection (including secondary data and focus groups), analysis, and report development, collaboratively organizing and facilitating a state-wide underage drinking strategic planning conference, working with the media to disseminate results to the general public, and preparing final report and supporting documents.
