Tasks included: baseline schedule review and monthly schedule update submittal reviews. Supported project risk analysis. Progress evaluation of designers, contractors, consultants and material supplier’s for invoice review and approval. Provided project controls for non-rail capital projects such as vehicle maintenance facilities, intermodal centers, loading docks, parking decks, parking lots and vault expansion. Coordinated four contract administrators on six projects to insure consistent project control program wide for schedule review, change order processing, budget management, ROW procurement and project start-up. Completed change order process from change initiation, estimating, presenting to management, execution, obligations, budget revisions and estimate at complete forecasts. Edited and revised project management plans and procedures. Administered the ProjectSolve collaboration site. Managed the rail, tie and crossing panel procurement contracts. Developed linear schedules. Created cash flow and project percent complete curves. Managed and contributed to monthly reports. Coordinated with the FTA’s Project Management Oversight Contractor to obtain FTA approval of project plans.

1997 – 1999 Utah Transit Authority's North/South Light Rail ($305M)

1993 - 1996 Kennecott Utah Smelter Upgrade and Newmont Gold repair and upgrade - Fluor Daniel Analyzed and developed schedules and monitored progress on smelter clarifier, pipe racks, acid plant, power plant, casting wheel and smelter furnace overhaul. Developed planned percent complete curves and compared actual progress to the plan. This site was congested and required detailed contractor interface planning between areas and elevations. Developed shutdown schedule for shutdown for mill maintenance, boiler and ductwork repair after a fire.

Scheduling engineer responsible for the review of contractor’s cost loaded baseline schedule, monthly progress updates and schedule delay claims; monitored contract progress; identified scheduling problems and recommended alternatives; created Primavera construction schedules based on design drawings; provided cash flow curves for input into overall MARTA cash flow forecast. Projects included a line segment, tunneling under I-285 and the Indian Creek Station and parking lot

Developed proposal schedules using Artemis software. Cost and resource loaded the schedules to create usage curves. Assistant to chief cost engineer at brewery creating cost codes and revising budgets. Tracked delivery of structural steel. Became area scheduler of bottling/packaging section of the brewery.

Began working as plumbers helper in a hotel remodeling project soldering copper fittings and gluing pipe. Completed a carpenter apprenticeship building schools, a bank, a church, a house and commercial building. Self-employed in concrete basement and flatwork company estimating quantities and pricing projects, hiring and paying help, purchasing and maintaining equipment and pouring concrete. Brakeman/switchman for Burlington Northern railroad switching freight cars in the yard, observing signals and making and routing trains. Gandydancer on tie, sled and section crew replacing ties and tamping ballast.
