In 1990, I set up Jim Schaffer & Associates to consult part-time to corporations and offer my Path of Mastery workshops to salespeople, client success teams, and others in stressful client-facing positions. The training teaches them how to apply principles of mindfulness in order to achieve top performance and stay focused and more engaged and joyful, regardless of what may be going on around them. Though the source material for this work is 2600 years old, it is surprisingly relevant to our era. At the same time, until September of 2023, I maintained a full-time career as a sales leader in the media and market research industries, and I also have a deep background in SaaS (including Mar-tech, Ad-tech and Res-tech), & data analytics. In my consulting work, I use this experience to keep the concepts grounded in everyday small occurrences, helping teams solve problems with tools that can sustain them for as long as they remain in the workforce.
