About Jim Schalberg

I've worked in various dealerships and positions from Sales to Management. It was while in management I saw the BENEFITS OF INTERGRATING RENTAL INTO THE DEALERSHIP. I eventually opened my first stand alone rental car operation in 1986. I built that operation, an off airport location in upstate NY, to 135 cars. Made a move to California and became involved with a rental car company there with about 150 cars. When I left that operation. it had 450 cars.Over my years in the world of automotive dealerships and rentals, I learned there was MUCH MORE TO THE RENTAL BUSINESS THAN JUST RENTING VEHICLES. I was actively working in the rental car business and found myself being called on to HELP OPERATORS MAKE THIER RENTAL CAR BUSINESS MORE SUCCESSFUL.As my consulting business grew, I saw a need and added RENTAL OPERATOR TRAINING CLASSES to my services. Today, my business, Jim Schalberg Auto Rental Solutions, carries a menu of products and services that assist in the growth and profitability of my rental car clients.
