Sales Engineer
I had many roles over time at Lanier and Medquist (Medquist bought Lanier). I was a sales engineer most recently. I began being a sales engineer in May of 2001. In that position I was responsible for customer needs and requirements discovery including those of a business, technical and user perspective. From that discovery I created the service, hardware and software quote for the solution. I then created collateral documentation that included the Statement of Work that defined the project for Medquist and the customer and became a part of the sales contract. I had to have a detailed knowledge of the healthcare document life cycle from all perspectives. Prior to having this role I gained experience in the following roles with Lanier prior to the purchase by Medquist. I have been a product line manager, level 3 product support engineer, integration and interface specialist, national technical support analyst and field support technition.
