As a little kid and all the way through high school, playing various sports gave me the opportunity to find out about the dynamics of winning and losing teams and how to be a team player and how to handle adversities. From an early age, I knew that I was destined to serve in the United States military. Before graduating high school, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and six months after graduating I found myself in bootcamp at Parris Island, SC. Thirteen weeks of bootcamp had taught me a lot about myself and my capabilities, both physical and mental. While serving in the Marines, I found out about what true teamwork is, what it takes to succeed in the face of adversity, discipline, the role of clear and concise communication skills, prior planning, mission accomplishment, and troop welfare. I also learned how to overcome and adapt as the situation dictates. It is where my passion and desire for leadership, personal development, team building, coaching, and mentoring was born.My quest for leadership, personal development, team building, coaching, and mentoring continue to be extremely important aspects of who I am today. I ask myself every day, “Am I better off today then I was yesterday?” “Did I add value to myself and to others?”Today I can say, I am better off today then I was yesterday. Today I am a self-motivated and experienced healthcare professional with a positive attitude and proven leadership skills and abilities. I constantly seek self-improvement and look for every opportunity to excel at what I do.
