Over 3.5 years, revenue grew from €1.5MM to €3.2MM with growth across corporate sponsorships, cause related marketing, employee fundraising, corporate grants and matching gift programmes. Major sponsor acquisition included Tesco Ireland Charity of the Year, Today FM Shave or Dye, Dell Ireland - Daffodil Day, Vhi Healthcare- Breast Cancer Awareness Month and programmes with Centra & Ulster Bank amongst others. I left the Irish Cancer Society in late 2011 with a staff of four in place and a corporate strategy through 2014. -
Manager - New Business DevelopmentChildren'S Hospital Boston 2005 - 2008Boston, Ma, UsIn 2005, I joined the Children's Hospital Trust (the Philanthropic arm of Children's Hospital Boston) after a long involvement on the volunteer side. Beginning as a Children's Miracle Network Officer, I worked as the direct liaison to the hospital's largest corporate partner Wal-Mart. Planning events & activities, activating cause related marketing & employee fundraising and working closely with Wal-Mart staff at a store, district, regional and national level we raised more than $3.2MM over 3 years. In 2007, an opportunity arose to directly solicit cause related marketing & sponsorship opportunities for the hospital. Over the next 18 months, partnerships were secured with Best Buy, Roche Brothers, Brigham's Ice Cream and Olympia Sports amongst others. We were also able to secure grants from companies including Rite Aid and Kohl's and I directly oversaw $1.7MM in fundraising in 2007. -

We achieved a revenue gain of $331,000 in our first year and the business development strategy we put in place was used for years to come. -
