Jim Teicher is a telecom and digital publishing changemaker. As a veteran financial technology and elearning entrepreneur, his innovations have sparked changes in the delivery of consumer information, financial services, and education.Jim founded CyberSmart Africa in 2008, and has designed and implemented the first massively scalable, solar-powered mobile learning platform designed to help teachers get ahead. Previously, he co-founded the elearning company CyberSmart Education. Jim also directs The CyberSmart Learning Institute, producer of the award-winning feature film “Tall as the Baobab Tree” – inspiring tens of millions of girls in sub-Saharan Africa to stay in school.Prior to CyberSmart Education, Jim was founder and CEO of Stockalert, Inc., a financial information company. He previously served as CEO of Smart Tone, Inc., an innovator in the field of internet security, was Division Vice President of The PaineWebber Group/UBS, the global financial services firm, and was marketing and product manager at the global telecom AT&T.
