Engineering Manager for the Rapidly Adaptive Visualization Engine (RAVE) – the new visualization engine based on the Grammar of Graphics, which has become the cornerstone of IBM's visualization strategy.Previously, Engineering Manager for multiple Cognos products/components.Led the engineering activities for various components and products in Cognos portfolio like Cognos Lifecycle Manager, Search and Navigation services, Adaptive Analytics Framework & Analytic Applications

Joined as a Senior Software Engineer and moved through the ranks, becoming a Team Leadand then Technical Product Manager for the V5i business unit and additionally providingtechnical leadership as Architect.Part of the core team that conceptualized and took the V5i – IDeaS’ SaaS RevenueManagement product to market, within 4 months, back in 2002.Involved in all subsequent releases of the V5i product, over the next 5 years, in varied roles,helping to add key modules & features to the product such as –- Best Available Rate – To optimize the un-qualified business.- Group Pricing – To manage the pricing requests in the group business.- Channel Management –To manage the business generated through web channels.Member of the Product Architecture group that is responsible for creating a commontechnology stack for all of IDeaS’ products.Architect responsible for the re-design of the presentation layer providing flexibility, L&Fstandardization and rapid UI development.Was responsible for the maintenance of tools used by customer support, client portal and itsintegration with SalesForceTM.

Various roles starting from Software Engineer to Team Lead.- Developed the web-based user interface for the V5e – IDeaS’ Enterprise Revenue Management product by integrating with the core functional components using CORBA. The prototype for which was executed by me, when I was in Tata Technologies.- Integration of our web service aggregation & consumption modules as plug-in modules in Sun’s FORTE IDE for Java and Macromedia’s DreamWeaver UltraDev.- User interface development for iStudio is a fully Java Swing based integrated development environment that allowed users to design, develop and deploy web services.

Consultant- Involved in the installation, implementation and database support for MetCAPP, a knowledge based process planning software and its integration with the Oracle based Shop Process Sheet System for a division of Tata Motors (then TELCO).- Developed different MIS systems using Oracle Forms 3.0 & SQL Report Writer for different divisions in Tata Motors.- Developed a prototype of the web-based user interface for the V5e – IDeaS’ Enterprise Revenue Management product using ASP.
