Nanotok develops and manufactures multimodal, unattended, physical sensing systems deployed in wireless networks.

Optimal Ranging technology enables unparalleled positioning accuracy in GPS-denied environments (underwater, underground, complex indoor, urban canyons). Based on the physics of wide-area magnetic tracking and distortion decoupling, ORI's precise location methods are used for pipeline/cable depth of cover measurements, underwater surveys, utility mapping in cluttered underground environments, and point positioning of obscured targets.

Led efforts to develop a new system architecture and DSP platform for the high-end of Metrotech's underground line locator product line, spinning several products off in the process. Worked directly with key lead customers for validation of platform requirements.Responsible for team creation, recruiting, development, product roadmap vision and strategy, and project oversight. Heavily focused on intellectual property development and protection, and integrally involved with business planning, partnership development, and technical marketing.

System architecture for Voyan's crosstalk compensation and multi-pair signaling systems. In collaboration with Voyan's chief scientists, led the core technology algorithm group in the development of the now-patented compensation and signaling methods, and subsequently toward the creation of implementable models. Coordinated the activities of the algorithm team with that of the engineering team's creation of the product prototypes for lead customers. In the twilight of Voyan's ride, engaged with strategic partners in licensing and technology transfer discussions.

Orchestrate the development of PC-based dynamic signal analyzers and vibration controllers. Products are based on PC-Card and PCI based plugins with on-board signal processing, in a Windows environment with common look and feel. Lead a core team (hardware, embedded, DSP, Windows, networking) in all aspects of product development while integrally involved with marketing and working with customers.

Led R&D teams in the development of modular VXI system modules related to HP's test and measurement business. Modules are part of the Hewlett-Packard (now Agilent) line of signal acquisition and DSP systems, focused on high resolution dynamic analysis. By working closely with customers, was integrally involved in creating preference in the new VXI product portfolio, particularly for high-channel count applications. Established relationships with key third party solution providers, with complementary hardware (sensors, probes, accessories), and working with HP solution partners to development turnkey software applications.

Measurement algorithms and embedded software development for HP's dynamic signal analyzer products. Focused on DSP (Digital Signal Processor) applications. striving to match customer problems in noise and vibration spectrum analysis with modern digital analysis capabilities. Frequently visited customer sites (automotive, aerospace) to understand missing or suboptimal elements of their existing solution, and worked closely with them in development of new analyzer products. Member of a key ANSI standards committee of particular relevance to HP's spectrum analyzer business.
