Current• Founded the Federal IT Security Institute (FITSI) and secured tax-exempt status from federal income tax under section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRS).• Collaborated with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and implement a role-based industry cybersecurity certification program known as the Federal IT Security Professional (FITSP) certification for Auditors, Designers, Managers, and Operators.• Pursued and obtained ANAB Accreditation under ISO 17024:2012 for the FITSP Certification Program (ANAB is the ANSI National Accreditation Board).• Developed and implemented a formal Federal Body of Knowledge (FBK) for the FITSP Certification Program, incorporating the regulations, standards, and guidance required by Congress, OMB, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology.• Created and implemented key certification elements such as the certification scheme, exam blueprints, and exam questions to be used in the FITSP Certification Program.• Established strategic relationships with cybersecurity industry stakeholders to promote awareness and understanding of the FITSP Certification Program.• Obtained formal government approval for the FITSP Certification Program for their workforces from the following Federal Departments and Agencies: Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of State (DOS), and United States Agency for International Development (USAID).• Worked with 30Bird Media (publishing provider) to develop and implement FITSP Authorized Courseware.• Developed and launched a FITSI Authorized Training Center (FATC) program for industry training providers that want to offer FITSI Authorized training classes.• Joined FITSI into the Cybersecurity Credentials Collaborative (C3) as a voting member to bolster the collective effort of promoting vendor-neutral credentials in the realm of information security and related IT sectors.
