Total annual budget of $30+ million, including a successful $20 million IT outsourcing arrangement with CGI Inc. Business sponsor accountable for $2 million image and workflow investment yielding over $8 million in operational savings over 5 years; complete replacement to lower cost, highly integrated Customer Relationship Management System, Mobile Applications, Enterprise Data Warehouse, New Business/Underwriting System and Policy Administration Platform. Net result was to significantly reduce acquisition and administrative costs to the business and significantly improve customer service.

Vice-President, IT Cash Management Services IT leader accountable for 4 Director level IT professionals, a group of 70 full-time/contract employees, 3 vendors and a variable off shore workforce of 50+ developers and testers to build, maintain and enhance complex and profitable operational platforms across 3 lines of business. Effectively managed a total annual IT budget of over $25 million. Worked collaboratively with the product development team to build and enhance payment remittance platforms as well as a state of the art account reconciliation and fraud prevention application for Canadian and US banks. Successfully delivered an Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment platform within 10 months of inception. Lead the conceptualization, design and development of a large scale, open source Service Oriented Architecture service hub to integrate several internal application services and provide clients and internal operations interfaces for access.Director, Web Development Reporting to the VP of Application Development, accountable for the architecture, development, testing and support of client web applications and web services, which leverage Symcor’s large digital cheque and statement archive. Lead a major strategic initiative to build out an enterprise application integration platform based on Microsoft Biztalk to tie in key back-end applications and orchestrate workflow across many services.

Business focused primarily on small to mid-ticket equipment leases to be sold to funding partners for administration. Web based application with service-oriented backend that included automated credit adjudication and electronic documents with eSignature was developed within 7 months of inception.

IT leader accountable for all IT services, including application development, data centre, desktop management and support. Worked collaboratively with business and operations to provide Dell sales team with a tightly integrated, real-time lease and loan origination platform. Provided a tightly integrated front end with legacy lease accounting system. Drove substantial improvements to IT infrastructure, applications, support and required processes in a very short timeframe, significantly reducing operating costs..

Accountable for the requirements, design, development and support of service based architecture and client facing systems aimed at completely automating the lease and loan origination process across a broad category of business verticals. First in North America to offer real-time, web based, credit-approval application to healthcare and technology vendors. Newcourt expanded this offering to over 20 vendor programs and was critical to the success of their exclusive financing joint venture with Dell Computer.

Powerbuilder and Microsoft SQL-Server developer, specializing in creating end-user applications used to process new business applications across several different verticals. First in North America to create a cost-per-unit-plus-finance leasing system with integrated credit scoring plus billing and collecting. Designed and delivered a Powerbuilder development course to two corporate IT development groups within the first 3 months of helping to form this small boutique development group.
