My responsibilities include identifying new opportunities to generate income and impact through the commercialisation of research, developing opportunities for collaboration with external private and public sector organisations, managing complex contracts for a diverse range of collaborative activities undertaken by the University with it’s partners and building new programmes that accelerate and increase the impact of University knowledge, expertise, ideas and technology.This includes early stage commercialisation strategy, intellectual property management, investor and strategic partnerships, contract negotiation, investment readiness and funding. Running a Social science research project evaluating the pilot Foundation Year 1 and 2 education strategy that has now replaced the PRHO junior doctor training program throughout England and Wales.The role involved the design of research methodology, collection of and analysis of qualitative data. The years work culminated with writing and presenting the final evaluative report.
