Jim is the grandson of steel workers from Pittsburgh where he was raised to understand the importance of the Midwestern values he experienced every day: the value of hard work, family, and faith.Jim’s early fascination with international places, cultures and business, sparked during a high school trip to Mexico, quickly led him back to Mexico for a college study abroad experience and to volunteer for any and all overseas travel when he joined PwC. Upon joining PwC Jim traveled extensively while learning both the audit side of the public accounting profession and his clients' businesses in the services, mining and manufacturing sectors. For seven years he worked extensively in Guinea, West Africa and had responsibilities that included significant overseas work in Eastern Europe.Jim also completed a secondment to PwC Russia where he was responsible for leading group and statutory audits of Russian companies and the Russian operations of US registrants. Jim considered himself lucky that his responsibilities in Russia included significant travel throughout Siberia and other parts of the Russia, including trips to client sites in the arctic circle.Jim’s current role includes the coordination of audit work and the delivery of services to companies in a variety of industries, the review of his clients’ implementation of new accounting standards, close coordination with PwC's National Office, and assisting his clients meet their needs in conjunction with capital market transactions.Throughout all his travels and experience Jim has remained true to the Midwestern values that underlie his approach to working with his clients, while being able to provide a uniquely global perspective. Jim’s clients appreciate his candid, frank, no-surprises approach to working through their accounting issues.Jim, his wife, and two children live in Hudson Ohio.
