Responsible for increasing market share of all TYC products in the independent aftermarket through Program Buying Groups and direct interaction with National Accounts, setting and completing strategic annual goals, ongoing training of the sales staff, attending and participating in industry trade group conferences (e.g., Auto Care Leadership Council, CAWA, GAAS, AAPEX, AWDA, etc.). I managed business relationships with key decision makers within Valeo to assure customer retention, ensure compliance with sales agreements, payment terms, resolve warranty and technical issues and deflect aggressive industry competitors. I assist our customers in developing appropriate marketing campaigns to increase their sales with Valeo products. I forecasted the annual sales budget, developed inventory models, identify sales trends and opportunities and coordinate special projects. Products sold include Wiper Blades, Rotating Electrical products, Clutch Kits and related components, A/C compressors and related products and Engine Cooling products.

I managed the Western and Southern sales regions – the largest and most profitable territories in the country. I was a key player in launching a new Clutch Kit program for light vehicle applications while continuing to manage clutch component sales to the repackager, rebuilder and import specialist market. I effectively developed a customer base through prospecting and networking. I wrote proposals, negotiated prices with customers and program buying groups. I worked with management to develop new and successful sales programs. My sales budget increased from less than $500,000 to over $22,000,000 during my employment period. I attended trade shows, seminars, and customer events. Products sold included shock absorbers, clutch kits and components, brake pads, lift supports and related automotive components.
