Worked as a Network Engineer working on many different customer network all across the country. Loved working there. Only left because previous company wanted me back and made me an offer I could not refuse.

As the Senior Network Engineer my major milestones and projects consist of:• Business growth from 1 Data Center in Indianapolis to 2 Data Centers in Indianapolis and 1 Data Center in Las Vegas. Other grow included sending out about just 1 billion emails per month out of (2) 1 GB Internet connections when started and currently at 7 billion emails per month out (2+) 10 GB Internet connections using BGP across multiple carriers.• Took Data Center Infrastructure and office Infrastructure from a flat network to multi tier, multi vlan and broadcast domain network• Designed and Implemented a 10 GB MPLS ring for the local 5 Office location in Indianapolis using Brocade MLXe’s. • Implemented an 8 city MPLS network that connects sites and company acquisitions. All of these remote office were designed, implemented, and maintained out of the Indianapolis location. The company had over 1500 office workers.• Design and Maintain Wireless connectivity for all office locations using Meru Networks wireless gear using 802.1x Authentication to Network.• Assisted in the implementation of monitoring software such as Solarwinds, Cati, NetMRI, Smoke-Ping, and Zenoss. Also implemented an IPAM (IP Address Management) solution using Infoblox.• Implemented a Packet Capture Box for problem solving and security track that keep a copy of all communications at the packet level for about 2 weeks.• Worked on a plan for IPv6 BGP network, a Juniper MPLS Pod routing project for internal communication, and an additional POD in Atlanta that will pull in multiple acquired companies.• Moved Production, QA, Development, and Office environment to be load balanced behind F5 load balancers while maintaining source based routing.• Test and implement when need new technologies. Such as but not limited to; FCoE, Brocade VDX (mesh environment); Xsigo Directors; Cisco Nexus; Cisco UCS, Vyatta Routers and many more.

Consulting for IBM Systems Integration for the New Indianapolis Airport Project. My responsibilities include the following:My largest responsibility was to act as a superintendent for all systems integration for the Airport Operations Center, Emergency Operations Center, and Airport Firehouse 1 and 2. This means that all communications with outside vendors and the owners of these buildings have to be coordinated through me. I also had the responsibility of overseeing and maintaining the schedules for the systems going into these buildings while making sure that budget constraints and contracts are being met.I installed and configured the campus wide network infrastructure and oversaw other junior engineer members on the project. This process included creating request for quotes (RFQ) for materials. Evaluating RFQ responses. The equipment that was chosen was Foundry Switches, Cisco Routers and Secure Computing Firewalls for the site. After installation another one of my responsibilities was to creating configurations for all VLAN's; Access controls using Radius Server, 802.1x and ACL's; QOS; Rapid Spanning Tree 802.1w; Wireless LAN controller and LWAP's using 802.1a/b/g; IPv4 and v6 Scheme; VRRP virtual interfaces and OSPF routes. I also had to keep track of change controls for all the previously mentioned systems. Review and assist on power consumption and heat loads for all systems in communications rooms on the Indianapolis Airport Site.Worked as backup person for Telephony, Distributed Antenna System, SAN, and Server installations.

I also recommend creative solutions to improve service/performance.Some of the more specific projects that I worked on are: - Provide Project Design and Project Management for Indianapolis Airport Authority. . - Project Management and Design for the Emergency Operations Center for the Joint Forces of the Indiana National Guard. - Provide Network Engineering assistance to Forum Credit Union. With over 50 Cisco Switches and Router across 10 different locations. - Work with The Travel Authority as a new client and provided router, firewall, and VPN support for over 10 different locations in Indiana, and managed a 100 user 5 site upgrade for remote offices. - And many other projects.

At BSA LifeStructures I held a management position in which I was responsible for all IT development, staffing, training, help desk organization, security of the companies data, and maintaining of all technology systems and services. Established the architectural vision for all IT systems while ensuring that the business needs and constraints were met. Developed technological roadmaps that would maximize ROI while accommodating the companies 20% per year growth over 8 years of employment.

I began working at Master Software Corporation prior to the buyout of the company by Blackbaud, Inc. After the buyout I stayed on until the company decided to close the Indianapolis location. For the two companies I managed the network infrastructure and maintained 120 user network on a multi-platform environment. I also assisted with conversion of customer data and any networking issues that the clients my have with the software product that Master Software developed.

At Hill's Pet Nutrition I configured, installed, and maintained systems for more than 450 end-users workstations. The platform that they used were IBM based PC and servers. I also managed a conversion from OS/2 LAN Server to Netware 3.11, and a migration from token-ring network to an ethernet network. I was also incharge of budget planning for a 1.2 million dollar budget for the Richmond, Indiana locaiton.
