Notre Dame launched iNDustry Labs (iNDL) in 2019 as the University’s platform for collaboration with local industry to advance the productivity, resilience and skills in the regional economy, while also enhancing the depth of applied research and learning opportunities for University faculty, staff, and students. At the heart of iNDL are Engineers in Residence (ENIR) who serve as advisors, translators and bridge-builders, responsible for leading technical consulting projects with local industry partners, articulating industry challenges, and identifying available resources at the University and throughout the LIFT Network for collaborative solutions to drive regional industry advancement.ENIRs contribute to the design and ongoing development of the services that comprise the iNDustry Labs platform.
