More specifically, experience include:- CRL Alliance: Advising a consortium on its TOC offer for the C3, C5, and C7 packages (total value in excess of $2bn). - Prison PPP $750m: Advising the successful consortium on its bid on the PPP for a new 500 bed high security prison with an integrated 100 bed mental health unit. - Schools PPP $220m: Advising the design and construct JV contractor in a successful bid and contractual close for the largest Schools PPP in NZ. - Sports Facility: Advising on subcontract arrangements for the new $300m sports facility in Christchurch including preparation of a suite of bespoke subcontracts. - M&A: Reviewing construction and facility management contracts to prepare a due diligence report for Tokyo Stock Exchange listed company on the NZ aspects of its acquisition of an ASX listed company. - Marine cable (international): Advising on the construction documentation and preparing standard terms for NZ and USA standard form contract for a complex international design and construct project involving the laying of submarine internet cables between the US, Australia and New Zealand.- Northland farm $58m: Preparing an EPC contract to build a fully automated free-range chicken farm involving using FIDIC Silver.- Minister of Education v H Construction North Island Ltd [2019] NZHC 1459: Representing the defendant contractor and managing a team of solicitors in a High Court proceeding. - Representing a contractor in a successful summary judgment to enforce a bond call against China Construction Bank (NZ) while defending against the principal’s parallel injunction proceeding.- Adjudications: I have been involved in at least 10 adjudications under the Construction Contracts Act 2002 including leading the team on several.

While working at Grimshaw & Co, I managed a number of high value High Court class action proceedings involving apartment complexes representing the bodies corporate and plaintiff owners. Successful outcomes achieved for the following class action claims: - Twin-tower block apartment complex requiring extensive remediation. The defendant contractor failed part-way through the remediation work, unravelling a prior settlement. Mediation discussions resumed with remaining defendant parties. Second settlement achieved;- Apartment complex of close to 200 units requiring over $20m remediation work. Settlement achieved;- Apartment complex requiring $40m remediation work, the largest building defect claim at the time. Settlement achieved.My general litigation experience included:- Project management of discovery and factual evidence preparation for class action claims;- Leading a team of solicitors; - Drafting and filing pleadings;- Attending case management conferences in the High Court;- Attending mediations;- Preparing expert evidence.

Motivated and encouraged secondary school students to enter into higher education by acting as a mentor/role model. Provided academic and relational support to ease them into tertiary studies.
