 Led AML Remediation Project for IFS Toronto (approx. 250 funds) and successfully met the tight deadlines set by the Senior Management team. Managed team of 6 including training and giving guidance on a daily basis. Performed a review and trained other location as a SME. The project was over 8 month. Led several conversion projects for both single manager funds and FOF Actively participates in a client presentation both existing clients and the prospects

 Performed and reviewed net asset value calculations and produced supporting accounting records for various funds in the group.  Contributed to increase operational efficiencies by volunteering for several projects and implementing the changes for the Toronto office.  Asked to be an acting Manager for the group in early 2009 and successfully performed the duties and responsibilities as a Manager.  Was part of the transition team for FoHF Group in Toronto and ensured the smooth transition to IFS including the preparation for IFS SAS 70 compliance.  Involved with the training for FoHF Team.

 Performed and reviewed net asset value calculations and produced supporting accounting records for new and existing clients. Transitioned launched funds to new staff including providing support and coaching. Developed working knowledge of client portfolios in order to address client queries on the same business day. Took a lead role in implementing creative ideas and solutions for our clients. Built a rapport with new clients by having early discussions and tailoring the communication style to determine, meet and exceed our clients’ specific needs and expectations. Ensured that all audit schedules and financial statements are completed by the agreed upon deadline with the auditors.

 Performed month-end reporting, weekly profit and loss statements and variance analysis of securities lending, foreign exchange, and treasury revenues. Extracted data from the various reports which enabled management to create a new forecasting and financial reporting tool. Analyzed business and financial plans to identify risks and opportunities. Maintained and developed new policy and procedure documentation. Coordinated business and financial plans and quarterly forecasts with business unit managers. Participated in special projects such as SOX 404, Organic Growth Model, Capital Markets Revenue Recognition Project – Billing and Management Information System.

 Performed and supported the NAV calculations for various assigned funds in accordance with established policies and procedures within tight daily deadlines. Researched securities prices and ensured appropriate independent sources are used. Researched and investigated any special or questionable transactions and discrepancies. Handled all regular interaction with assigned clients ensuring service level agreement requirements are fulfilled. Mentored junior staff.

 Prepared monthly financial statements including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Liquidity Report, and Asset/ Liability Matching Report. Managed the investment portfolio ensuring that the security, liquidity and yield of the portfolio are within the established guidelines of the board of directors. Appointed as Privacy Officer – successfully implemented and modified policies and procedures to ensure that the daily operation of the credit union is met the requirement of the new legislation of Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. Appointed as Board Secretary – charged of organizing monthly board meetings, writing and maintaining board minutes, and reporting banking and accounting activities in the credit union to the board and successfully organized Special Membership Meeting and Annual General Meeting in 2003.
