Lead the strategic plan and carry out the mission and operating objectives of YMCA Camp Chingachgook. Recruit and lead a volunteer council of advisors that will help to position Chingachgook as a leading charity in the region and oversee an annual fundraising campaign. Responsible for creating, evaluating and maintaining programs, partnerships, and day to day processes for year-round programs. Actively participate in the Y’s annual fundraising campaign, individually raising $18,000 annually, with a focus on motivating the staff team of campaigners, Camp alumni, and current families.

Facilitate classes in adventure education, team building, high ropes and environmental education to school groups. Manage groups of 10-20 middle schoolers.

Develop & teach interactive workshops and facilitate drop-in science, math and technology activities in the Museum exhibit halls using the Overnight program curriculum. Participate in 20-30 hours of training provided by the Overnight program staff to become familiar with science content and materials and teaching skills with various audiences. Serve as a positive and enthusiastic role model.

Ensure all applicable OCFS regulations are followed, including but not limited to ratios, child abuse reporting, emergency procedures and keep all required records and logs.

Required to create lesson plans based on California state testing standards in order to facilitate classes in environmental science andadventure curriculum at the 5th and 6th grade level. Responsible for the instruction and safety of a group of 15 students at a time. Additionally, provided graphic design guidance and created a promotional video for the camp from original photography and video clips.
