Responsibilities:Developing the C++ infrastructure for the game server that interacts with Python games and handles other business logic.Collaborating with overseas development teams (European countries, Taiwan and Vietnam) to deliver new features.Developing online games in C++ and Python.Code reviews.Mentoring new starters.Achievements: I built some features for player affordability checks, third-party payment providers integration, and Zendesk (a third-party help desk) integration. I made a tool for testing our game server API that supports the special protocol and the special authentication method used by our game server.I made a C++ static code analyser in Python to help our team to find vulnerable bugs. I also made a similar tool checking for duplicate C++ methods to help our team to refactor the code base.I made a code generator in Python that analyses some data types (POD structs) written in C++ and generates serialisers and deserialisers for those data types.
