- Developed a variety of complicated optical/electronic setups from scratch, such as supercontinuum white light generation, imaging, ultrafast pump-probe (shot-noise limited) spectroscopy, nonlinear generation, Raman, photoluminescence, linear reflectivity, cross-polarization spectroscopy, angle-resolved nonlinear characterization, photoconductance measurement, etc., with python automation to characterize quantum materials and/or photonic structures/circuits.- Developed scanning nonlinear coherent source through difference frequency generation of two class 4 CW lasers, with a scanning speed that exceeds any commercial system, for donor and photonics characterization- Led research on quantum emitters in silicon, developed high quality factor photonic crystal cavities and photonic circuits in a variety of wavelengths for quantum optics applications, from design/FDTD simulation, fabrication to characterization and data analysis- Developed shot-noise limited optical measurement setups to study superconducting phase transition of atomically thin superconductors, at different temperatures and magnetic fields- Developed electro-optical measurement systems to study low dimensional condensed matter systems at cryogenic environment- Conducted research on fault-tolerant QC architecture of silicon donor-spin based quantum computer-Mentored graduate and undergraduate students, led to a few journal and conference publications
