One of my key responsibilities in the Green Finance Project was to gather disclosed information on domestic green bonds from 2016 to 2019 using the Wind database. This information was critical in supporting our blogs and engagement efforts. Our collective advocacy ultimately led to the removal of all coal investments in China's 2020 Green Bond Catalogue, which was released by PBOC - an achievement I am proud to have been a part of.As part of my involvement with the Low Carbon Development Policy Project, I extensively reviewed literature, studied policies, and consulted with industry experts to quickly familiarize myself with the intricacies of energy transition. I had the honor of co-authoring and coordinating two reports with esteemed institutions such as the North China Electric Power University and the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies. These reports highlighted the benefits and positive impacts of strict controls on coal power expansion.Given China's focus on energy security and the power outage experienced in the fourth quarter of 2021, it is crucial to promote the adoption of green energy sources to shape the future of China's power system.
