I was the managing editor of Maine's largest weekly newspaper, an alternative weekly paper that is a sister to the Boston and Providence Phoenixes. I was the senior editorial staffer in Maine, and coordinated work by a two-person editorial staff, and nearly two-dozen freelancers. I was responsible for the editorial content of the paper, budget management.

I was the editor of a community weekly newspaper serving three towns with a combined population of 50,000 people. I had two full-time staffers working for me, and several freelance correspondents.
