Driven by my passion for mechanics, I started my Ph.D. focusing on the structure-function analysis of carbohydrate polymers in plant cell walls. This path allowed me to gain expertise in mechanical testing, material characterization and protein engineering. As a member of the Center for Lignocellulose Structure and Formation (CLSF), I had the opportunity to work with scientists specializing in computational modeling, X-ray scattering, spectroscopy and ssNMR.
