GoWall’s easy-to-use Notes Wall gets people talking, whether they’re in the same room, remote, or both. Ideas fill the wall from the moment participants join, adding transparency and neutrality to meetings. Participants build on ideas, “Like” them, and before you know it, you have everyone’s attention.As chief engineer and co-founder, I developed/am developing all the GoWall technologies, which includes the web frontend, iOS scanning app, Node.js backend, WebSocket, RabbitMQ message queue system, MongoDB database and AWS infrastructure. I am developing an iOS app and an Android app targeting mobile users, which are expected to roll out end of 2018. GoWall puts security as one of the top priorities. GoWall passed the Cisco security audit with the highest security category.

• Design and develop firmware and hardware for all the company’s Wi-Fi products, including power plugs/strips, thermostat plug-in modules, lighting and direct load controllers• Coordinate and manage R&D and manufacture activities at China and Taiwan• Develop HTML5 based frontend and Java based backend infrastructure

• Lead of a project to design the communication and co-debug interfaces between configurable logic and multi-processor systems (dual-core ARM Cortex A9 and TI DSPs). Responsibilities include(1) designing memory-mapped and data streaming bus interfaces between embedded processors and custom peripherals; (2) designing network of hardware accelerators that are controlled by the software; (3) developing virtual platform and hardware based co-simulation and co-debugging tools.• Creator of an Eclipse CDT (C/C++ Development Tooling) co-debug plug-in and the corresponding co-debug circuit as part of the company’s Software Development Kit (SDK). • Developed enabling technologies for the Wireless open-Access Research Platform (WARP) and the Xilinx video pipeline processing IP cores.• Engaged with 3rd party vendors to develop solutions to interface FPGA systems with external processors (including TI DSPs and ARM processors).• Key developer of System Generator for DSP (“SysGen”), a MATLAB/Simulink based hardware design tool. Responsibilities include developing C++/Java netlisters for simulation and HDL code generation and hardware-in-the-loop co-simulation, designing abstractions for DSP IP cores (e.g., FFT and FIR).

• Research on energy efficient implementations of various DSP and embedded systems using FPGAs.• Proposed algorithms and architectures for energy efficient implementations of several widely used DSP and adaptive filter algorithms on reconfigurable hardware.• Research on energy efficient deployment of distributed DSP on sensor network systems.
