It can potentially supports queries over data streams such as network traffic, financial records, web-clicks. I worked on windowed query evaluation such as window aggregate and window join, in NiagaraST. With my work, windowed queries do not have to rely on physical stream properties, such as stream arrival order, stream arrival delay and time skew of stream sources, to progress or purge state. The performance of windowed query evaluation is significantly improved, especially in memory, throughput, and latency.
