Planning for the future Terminal 5 provided me with the opportunity to test a variety of innovative ideas:- Planning and business analysis for a one-of-a-kind air-land-sea transport hub between Southeast Asia and the world;- Prototyping a construction digital twin; and- Experimenting with autonomous vehicles in the airport airside and presenting the findings at the United States Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting in 2016 and 2018.My portfolio also includes the visioning, concept plan development, and land use analysis of a 30-hectare greenfield airport urban district. This has been successfully incorporated into Singapore’s Masterplan.

With the objective to optimise Singapore’s land use, I drove multi-agency collaboration to assess potential uses, plan and develop our underground spaces.The other challenging but interesting role that I undertook was to delicately balance environmental concerns of major public development projects, such as Cross-Island Line and Mandai Rejuvenation Project, with our nation’s needs to achieve a positive project outcome.

As a junior member of the team, I was entrusted with leading the planning and management of a massive retrofitting of staff offices. This effort was well-received by affected staff.I was awarded 5 times for exemplary excellence and initiative under the monthly employee recognition scheme.
