Created by Melbourne duo Drifters Fiesta, The Buskers Guide is an Australian-made web series documenting the travels of a pair of nomadic musicians. Join us as we busk and couch-surf our way from town to town and country to country, filming all of our experiences along the way. A comprehensive travel guide on all the places we visit, our web series will fill you in on the best places to eat and sleep on a budget, as well as tips on things to do, good busking spots, open-mic nights and cheap ways to get around – basically, anything that might be of interest to fellow drifters, backpackers and musicians like us! The aim of this project is to provide travel tips, insights and spread the word about local musicians, and artists. We want to start a conversation that will inspire people – whether it’s to strap on a pair boots and go off exploring the world, to go to some gigs or get involved in their local arts scene, or just to get out there and have a good time. We will be filming live gigs, recording songs, taking photos, interviewing other buskers, travellers and locals – in other words, putting ourselves out there as much as we can. Of course, we won’t always be able to find out everything about every area – and this is where you come in. If you know any travel tips, tricks or secrets, or have even just heard whispers, give us the low-down and we’ll try our best to follow it up for the show.To fund our exploits, we’ll be hitting the streets and hustling any way we can – busking, playing gigs and open-mic nights, selling CDs, If you see us on the streets and want to share your travel stories and tips with us, show us around, offer us a couch to crash on, or play a show, make a video or busk with us, we’d love to hear from you!This show and its music (unless credited) is written, filmed and edited by Drifters Fiesta.
