When I joined SeatGeek I was tasked to rework our entire infrastructure, as the current one did not scale well and had numerous shortcomings. Together with a colleague we rebuilt the entire stack on Docker/Nomad/Consul/Vault on top of AWS EC2 which scaled incredibly well, from 200 small instances in a single region to +1500 large instances in two regions (EU + US), the only team that really noticed was finance - it also scaled down easily during COVID to ~400 instances.A platform for managing 100s of services, 1000+ containers, TB of logs, 1000+ req/s at peak, heavy microservice-based* Implementation of a containerized infrastructure with Docker and Nomad on AWS * Revamping of the deployment pipeline and build time optimizations (GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, Buildkit)* Container aware log shipping and telemetry with different tools such as InfluxDB/Graylog* Effective microservices routing using Envoy with custom control plane backed by Consul service discovery* Resiliency testing and improvements* Implemented a multi-layered and sharded caching architecture for several high traffic Microservices endpoints* Architecture design and implementation for multi-region application deployments and cross-service communications* Various compliance-related automation tasks* Open Source tools to help manage Consul/Nomad/Vault - mostly in Go

Bownty is a startup I joined when it was only few years old. Some of the the things I did was:- Building the infrastructure that allow us to handle 10's of million RabbitMQ messages a day, and handle millions of public and private HTTP requests a day (peaking a 100+ req/s)- Migrating our infrastructure to Docker, Consul, Nomad, Vault with full CI- A full featured daily emails delivery system, that currently reaches a few million emails per day.- Employed, managed and guided a tech team of up to 15 members- Took part in management meetings, business decisions and product planning- Helped doing a successful acquisition of a competitor, both on business and technical side.- A complete business intelligence tool for quick gathering of real time insights on sales data, email deliverability and user engagement.- A content processing and curation system that takes data from several different partners and feeds the live database the site uses.- The search engine and API for the deals catalog.- Several administrative tools for change auditing and content curation.- Feature extraction from structured and unstructured data with the aim of improving metadata in the deals catalog.- Open Sourced numerous internal projects on GitHub (Go, PHP, React)On the less fun side, I also helped down-scaling the company from 40 people to just 8 people, doing fire and negotiations for my team, learning an awful lot about HR in the process
