I have connected my entire career so far with the BUT in Brno, as a technical worker and assistant professor. So far, in more than 15 years at BUT, I was involved in a really large number of different activities, from teaching and guiding students in their individual student projects, through professional training courses for several industry companies. I also handled various research and development projects for industrial partners and projects financed by the Czech Science Foundation, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, etc.I also held the position of department secretary of the Institute of Radioelectronics at FEEC, BUT in Brno, when I was in charge of the operational affairs of the entire institute. I was in charge of moving the institute to a new building. This task consisted of the design of the layout of the interior spaces, including the equipment and technology. This required complicated negotiation with the architect and builder of the new building. During the move, I was then responsible for the relocation and implementation of all major technologies.Within the SIX research centre, I worked as a junior scientist, deputy head of the research department, deputy head of the SIX centre. As part of the work activities at the SIX centre, I participated as a co-investigator in the solution of several Horizon 2020 projects. In these projects, I worked in an international team with experts focused on smart city solutions, planning, building constructions, electronics, data processing, etc.During my previous work at BUT, I especially learned not to look for problems where there are none, but to solve real challenges that occur in scientific and research work. Be able to find a solution and explain it to my students so that they understand it and are able to develop the idea further.
