Understanding the insights that data can provide has always intrigued me. As a Data Engineer skilled in Python and SQL, I enjoy turning raw data into insights. My journey started as a Data Analyst at the School of Psychology. There, I created an internal performance tracking system for over 60 personnel. I built an ETL pipeline using Python and SQL, which inspired my shift from data analysis to data engineering. This opportunity fueled my passion for leveraging data to foster growth.I then began my first IT role as a Business Analyst. In this position, I worked closely with clients from over 20 insurance companies. This role taught me the importance of understanding client needs and monitoring data pipelines.In my current role as a Data Engineer at Baufest, I modernized data workflows by transitioning to a Snowflake-centric architecture. I manage over 100 million records using SQL and AWS S3 for ETL pipeline operations. This experience has helped me ensure new systems are compatible, scalable, and meet our clients' diverse data needs. Each day brings opportunities that spark my curiosity and inspire me to innovate.Before focusing on Data Engineering full-time, I briefly worked as a freelancer. I designed an automated weekly newsletter that compiled IT events from two websites using an ETL process. This project deepened my passion for creating solutions through automation and efficiency.My professional background extends beyond working with data. I spent over seven years as an ESL teacher, creating engaging lesson plans for more than 400 students. This experience improved my ability to simplify complex concepts, a vital skill for collaborating with diverse teams.Outside of work, I have personal interests in reading, playing board games, designing and developing video games.
