For almost 20 years, I have been leading the planning, development and execution of the School Oral Health Program, a comprehensive school-based/linked dental program that covers all school children in Kuwait. My mission is to prevent dental diseases at a very young age and integrate oral health into existing school health programs. As an adjunct faculty at the ADA Forsyth Institute and a reader in dental public health, I also leverage my academic credentials and expertise to conduct evidence-based research, surveys, and innovation in primary preventive dental care at the population level. I am passionate about exploring the potential of AI and other technologies to make oral health promotion accessible, effective, and efficient for all.Liaising between ADA Forsyth Institute and MOH Kuwait by leading a strong staff force of 600+ has been the core of my current assignment.Since March 2024, I have taken up the role of directing Business Development of ‘ADA Forsyth Institute (AFI)’ in Middle East. AFI was born during October 2023 following the landmark partnership between erstwhile Forsyth Institute and American Dental Association (ADA). AFI has set forward-looking goals in areas of oral health research, innovation and community outreach(focusing on prevention of oral disease/NCDs in school-aged children). As the director of Business Development of AFI for Middle East, will be looking forward to networking with collaborators in the region to make quality oral health care accessible to all.
