High speed flow measurements and visualization were conducted on human subjects. A set of mathematical equations were developed to account for the variation in flow variables with time and people. - Developed CFD models to predict the transport of infectious agents in an aircraft cabin. Analytical models were developed to extend the information to realistic flight durations and multiple exhalations. Risk assessment models were developed. Methods to mitigate the transmission were investigated. Telecasted by CNN and NBC. - Trained and mentored fellow students at Purdue during their graduation.- Led and facilitated experimental measurements in a full scale patient room for contaminant transport.

A predictive tool was developed based on the CFD models and successfully transitioned to the business for detecting the localized fluid dynamics parameter under high Reynolds Number (10 MM) in refinery piping. Resulted in $8 Million profit for a refinery per year.2. Development a Design Methodology for domestic Refrigerators: Led the computational fluid dynamics efforts on developing a design tool to study thermal, airflow and condensation characteristic of compartments and the refrigerating circuit as a function of design, operating and geometric parameters.

Tech Thesis: Design and modeling of hot wall condensers: A novel analytical model was developed to predict the heat transfer characteristics of hot wall condensers and to estimate the effect of different operating conditions, refrigerant properties and geometric parameters on its performance.
