 Educating patients on procedure details, provided instructions, and answered questions to minimize anxiety and improve cooperation. Responsible for the patient whilst in my care, respect the patient dignity privacy, wishes and beliefs and always maintain confidentiality. Ensures safety of each MRI patient and medical staff while in the high magnetic field environment. Screens patients and other medical staff prior to entering the magnetic exam room. Primarily undertake radiographic duties, ensuring the high standards of radiographic quality and patient care are maintained and delivered in a timely manner. Collected patient vital signs and medical history as part of physical exam preparation procedures. Team player and capable of working well co-workers, physicians & patients. Coordination teamwork with all members of the health care team. To assess the patient’s condition and adapt technique accordingly. To communicate highly complex information. Where appropriate to inform relatives and carers, when necessary, of the procedure being undertaken. To empathize and reassure patients who are worried, anxious, or reluctant to undergo the procedure being undertaken. Frequent counseling for patients with claustrophobia. Plan and prioritize own and section workload and able to manage the pressures of accommodating emergency work in addition to planned sessions. Be prepared to reorganise at short notice when required by medical emergencies. Assess the Radiation risk to the patient and ensure it is kept as low as reasonably practicable (the ALARA principle). Ensure that MRI/CT rooms are clean, organized for examinations. Perform additional duties as required by the management. Adhere to Infection Prevention Control policies and procedures.
