Dr. Thakur has several years of civil, pavement, geosynthetics, and geotechnical engineering experience in consulting and academic environment, which includes site feasibility studies, geotechnical drilling investigations, soils and materials field and laboratory testing, data reduction, engineering evaluation, and report writing. Dr. Thakur's prime interest is on solving complex geotechnical engineering problems using a combination of experimental and analytical tools in conjunction with years of research and consulting experiences. Dr. Thakur has published more than twenty peer reviewed conference and journal papers and presented several of them in national as well as international conferences.Dr. Thakur has ability to handle problems on ground improvement, geotechnical material testing, foundation design and settlement issues, slope stability, seismic analysis, liquefaction analysis, design and analysis of earth structures (unreinforced and reinforced retaining walls, soil nail walls, etc.), and pavement design. Dr. Thakur has managed and supervised over 300 projects related to residential, commercial, industrial, and energy (Oil and Gas, Wind and Solar Farm) development.
