Verizon Sourcing LLC (Contract)· Led a scrum team of 10 in migrating legacy soap web services to spring-boot microservices deployed to Kubernetes private cloud through Gitlab-CI pipelines. Migrated 30 microservices in less than 6 months, winning appreciations from the customer.· Designed and architected real time feed for alarms and hot data from big data stored in Apache Druid and published into the enterprise message bus for downstream subscription· Automated Lucid API documentation upload through the Gitlab-CI pipeline cutting down the deployment time by 1/3rd. The manual process is error prone and time consuming.· Identified a major bug with one of the webservices that provides tracking data that Verizon is legally required to respond to law enforcement agencies and brought down the response times from more than 15 min to less than a minute. Lumen Technologies (was Centurylink Communications) (Contract - TCS)Co-wrote frameworks for the integration layer using JavaEE6 dependency injection for creating templated services for consuming various backends on technologies like Oracle DB, SOAP based web services and REST based webservices. Using this framework, the turnaround time for a service API development dropped by more than 60%· Created a generic web service client using java reflections that can be configured through properties to consume any SOAP based or REST based backend webservices. This effort won the best reusable component of the quarter award. More than 100 webservice consuming service APIs re-used this component saving 20k lines of code· Designed and implemented a proactive load framework using Infinispan in-memory cache to load customer inventory proactively into cache to serve lightning-fast inventory searches resulting in reduction of response times from over 2 minutes to sub seconds. This acted as a virtual backend letting users access inventory when the legacy inventory backends are down.· Evaluated and executed multiple technology migrations through the lifecycle of the project to make sure the application stayed up-to-date with industry trends· Authored a comparison analysis report of microservices frameworks [Spring-boot, golang and dropwizard] to help determine the best candidate for strategic solution for moving away for monolithic architecture· Created an asynchronous logging framework that uses a JMS queue to receive logging events from all the service interface layers and a listener MDB batches up to insert those logging events to the oracle db. This implementation helped with improving the performance of the services by 20%

British Telecom (Contract-TCS)· As a production support executive, monitor and support multiple service assurance telecom applications helping BT to make sure that their wholesale customers orders and tickets are routed to the right application and team for faster resolution. · Created scripts to deliver a daily monitor report for all the service assurance applications using Shell & Perl scripting cutting down 4hrs on every report generation compared the manual method.
