Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Current- Designed multiple on-premise Kubernetes infrastructures optimised for distributed, permissive blockchain applications for Fintechs.- Implemented Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate the deployment and management of EKS clusters for an enterprise coin trading platform on AWS. - Developed Falcon, an open-source, production-ready toolkit designed from scratch to deploy Hyperledger Fabric on Kubernetes. Falcon simplifies HLF deployment without any operator overhead and enables declarative management of the entire HLF network using Helm. It supports multi-cluster HLF component deployments as easy as deploying an nginx. - Designed cross-cluster and active-active deployment solutions for RDBMS/Caching systems, such as MariaDB/KeyDB, ensuring all regions are synchronised and capable of accepting writes globally.- Implemented backup solutions for various workloads running in Kubernetes using Velero, ensuring data availability in case of system failures or data loss.- Managed secrets using HashiCorp Vault to securely store and access critical credentials, ensuring enhanced security and compliance.- Implemented centralised monitoring and logging infrastructure using the Prometheus/Elastic stack, providing visibility and long-term storage for system metrics and logs.- Streamlined GitHub Actions and GitLab CI to automate and reduce manual testing of applications on every release/testing phase.- Designed routing solutions for distributed applications deployed across multiple on-premises Kubernetes clusters.- Designed a unified custom Helm-based application deployment solution for deploying various application components as either stacked Helm releases or individual ones. This unified approach enables any SRE to manage deployments across any project within the organisation. This efforts includes designing a deployment strategy, optimising workflows, discussion with various developers/SREs/leads to understand their problems etc.
