I have joined Joules as a part-time supervisor after taking a career break to look after my child. I was seeking only a part-time position due to childcare challenges. However I have been offered a suitable assistant manager role which allows me to have work-life balance regarding childcare.In my ASM role I am responsible for our teams development and their reviews. I support my manager and others on our area with recruitment. I share my ideas regarding commercial actions based on facts, data and experience. Our store is visually strong and customer satisfaction is highly rated.Along my day job I have started a Level 4 Retail management apprenticeship, that is supported by the business. This course is due to finish in February 2024.

I have completed childminding course in August 2017. As my priority was to give my child the best possible start to her formative years, I didn't grow my business to maximum capacity, to enable me to spend quality time with her. My goal and business plan was to support other, like minded, parents; who didn't have the option to stay at home with their children. And to offer their children the same opportunity of quality development time.

I was looking for a new challenge after spending almost 10 years in clothing. I have not been involved in homeware or furniture before and I was keen to broaden my experience in other sectors of retail.During my interview it became apparent that the store needed someone with strong people skills. It has always been my passion to develop others and bring the best out of everyone and either help them to progress or gain clarity of their roles and expectations.The typical TWC customer was unlike the ones I've been dealing with for past 10 years. I enjoyed creating customer profiles to fit our clientele and using them as a training exercise during our meetings. In this company I have also been involved with B2B partners.

Initially joined the business as a Christmas temp and within 2 years I became a store manager in their Stamford store. I was fortunate to work with some of the best leaders in the industry. Gradually I progressed to a multi-site store manager, project manager (store openings) and an area manager support.After almost 10 years it was time to find a new challenge as area manager path wasn't the one for me.
