In 2019, due to significant business growth, Halliburton split it’s Middle East and APAC regions into two separate regions, for their primary business line, resulting in an expansion of management teams. In 2019 I was promoted to a regional role in APAC due to my success in Brunei. Aligned to the APAC region, I drove sales and improved employee/client equipment knowledge. I collaborated with sales, led negotiations, investigated incidents, facilitated technology presentations, and resolved long-standing disputes. As a technical advisor, I provided strategic advice on bids/proposals for tender submissions. No two days were the same. Learning on-the-job and educating others while contributing to Halliburton's global strategy was the most enjoyable part. Halliburton had won a significant contract with Shell in 2016 however, the project had flaws and within 6 months was fast becoming a disaster. Hand-picked by a Vice President and former manager, I was appointed to improve the relationship with Shell and turn the project around. Losing significant revenue daily, I immediately focussed on resourcing and successfully renegotiated contract terms with Shell. Within the first 90 days on the job, I was a key member of a team to carry out a value stream mapping workshop that identified significant improvements and cost-saving opportunities and helped repair the business relationship between both parties. I led the core team that implemented all initiatives that came out of the value stream mapping workshop. With the project growing from strength-to-strength, revenue and profit increased substantially.Over the next two years, I implemented a ‘world-first’ technology/product in Brunei and secured/executed a new $5M offshore contract.

My 21-year career with Halliburton commenced in a Supervisor role and over time expanded from in-field work to operations. The operational aspect incorporated a wide range of responsibilities and functions, including people/process management, financials, budgeting, cost control, competency assessment, continuous improvement, and resource/asset management. Leading significant projects in Victoria, Western Australia, and East Timor, one of my most memorable accomplishments was the 'Australasian first' installation and equipment change-out, during critical path operations for BHP. Further, my work secured a lucrative contract with BHP and an award for 'Most Valued Performance' in Halliburton.
