I'm Jiyang Gao (高继扬), CEO of Galaxea AI, a startup focused on robot hardwares and embodied AI.I was an Executive Director at Momenta (2021 Jan - 2023 Jun). I led several teams, including highway autonomous driving system, planning, localization & odometry, sensor calibration, AI Infra, camera perception. The products I developed are now served in multiple OEM SOP projects, like BYD, Lotus, SAIC IM, Bosch etc.Before Momenta, I worked for Waymo as a tech lead & senior software engineer (2019 Jan - 2021 Jan). The projects I delivered include ML-based prediction (VectorNet is one of the published results in this project), online lane estimation, offline auto-labeling and LiDAR perception.I got my PhD degree from USC in 2018 Nov, advised by Prof. Ram Nevatia, with a focus on CV&DL. I obtained my B.S. degree from Tsinghua University in 2015. I did several internships at Google during my PhD (Google Research 2017 summer, Google Cloud AI 2018).
