Maintenance support on mining and earth moving equipment's instruments, tracking equipment software, GPS, Aquila, Thunderbird and Wenco systems, data radio links routed to a centralized control room and two way communication radios including repeaters and antennas. Planned maintenance conducted on daily, weekly, monthly etc. Standby duties for out of normal working hours support for equipment breakdown.

Full time studies conducted at TUT during the time employed as an artisan, studies conducted were aimed to become a certified Electrical Engineer within the mining industry. (Completed December 2012)Job related work include plant maintenance, planned/preventative maintenance including legal inspections on plant equipment. Breakdown maintenance also conducted, including overtime and standby duties.

On the job, and off the job training conducted at Anglo American facilities, towards the completion of a trade test as an Instrument Mechanician. This also included studies at Lepahalale FET college.
