Hello! My name is JJ Ferguson, and my pronouns are she/her. I am an extremely driven, focused, and proud trans woman in a tenacious attempt to achieve her purpose in life. My purpose is simple: connect people and help them achieve their absolute personal best. Anyone who has known me throughout my personal life can attest to the earnestness and can-do attitude regarding this passion. I put everything I have into a project, even through difficulties and setbacks. My dream project is to assemble a team based on my developed intuition and real-life business experience. From there, I can celebrate their strengths to form a successful. harmonious group. At the end of the day, I am a boss bitch set on directing and producing my pet project indie movie that is my life. This is a story of my own journey of self-discovery and my personal experiences in my professional life as a re-born trans woman. I have a dual nature that can be shocking to some but is best explained as follows. I am a chaotic spirit, ardent, raw, and driven. On the flip side of that is pure love merged with laser focus, understanding, and patience. I can only speak the truth; dishonesty pains my empathetic heart. In short, I practice loyalty and dedication to my team, and I strive to inspire the same from them. I have 8 years in retail management and leadership. I am not afraid to go to bat for my team to ensure they are respected and taken care of. My retail experience draws from the Gold Coast in Fairfield County, Connecticut. I use personal time and resources to test and learn about new products I'm selling before they hit the sales floor, and this discernment has proven invaluable in my leadership roles. Most recently I was tasked with running at 7 person capacity department with 2 (my self, my assistant, and a part-timer) and a department budget of 125hrs/wk. Through my leadership, my team and I did the impossible, turning a huge profit for our company throughout the company’s worst labor shortage and logistics crises during the busiest holiday on record, as well as the crippling inflation that was felt on both the retail floor and the corporate Purchasing Office as well. Unfortunately, I was forced to resign from my position due to differences in opinion. However, my staff resigned with me out of loyalty and solidarity. Not only was that heartwarming, but also very vindicating as well as proof of my leadership. In short, I'm exactly what you're looking for to lead your team.
