I am a knowledgeable Sales & Marketing professional with extensive line management experience, having worked in both the pharmaceutical and retail/FMCG industries. I am logical and like to operate with data-driven mentality to make accurate and informed decisions. I have an analytical and investigative personality and I am passionate about helping team members to learn and thrive in their roles. I have extensive experience in managing teams of people to achieve their own success and reaching personal goals. I have won numerous personal and team awards in my career, as well as managing team members to winning multiple awards for themselves.I joined Servier Laboratories in 2012 as a Medical Representative and was consistently promoted until reaching Regional Sales manager in 2016, a position which I held for almost 4 years. An example of success that is still close to my heart, was as a Regional Sales manager (KZN and EC) at Servier, I took over a team that had not achieved success in many years prior to my appointment and had not received any sales awards over a period of around 6-10 years. By the time I moved on after 4 years in the role, we had achieved multiple team and individual awards, for me and for my team members, most notably "most improved Region" three years in a row, only narrowly missing out on top Region of the year near the end of my role. I attribute this to my people management skills, strategy and resilience. When I moved on the team was already firmly in first place, and within 6 months of me leaving, the team won region of the year for the first time in more than a decade! At Lee-Chem Laboratories as National Sales and Marketing manager, I have gained great business experience, dealing with profit and loss, account management, marketing and the retail/FMCG environment. As the head of the Sales/Marketing department I have been involved in multiple new projects for the business, including launching onto Amazon USA/UK, building of new websites, and the eCommerce boom.Outside of work, I have a young family with my wife and 2 small children, I am an avid golfer and sports fan who loves travelling the country and seeing the Berg, bush and the beach all the same.
