Interface with the business community within Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. Promoting and develop training and financial business incentives. (i.e. EWT, OJT, PWE, WOTC, Federal Bonding Program etc.);create partnerships with contractors regarding interaction/collaboration with economic development agencies. Coordinate business training services, act as intermediary between businesses and service providers, attend, exhibit and present at conferences, trade associations and events, develop and submit grant applications on behalf of clients. Handle multiple projects and deadlines in an environment of shifting priorities and resource constraints. Selected Contributions: Organized and coordinated special business outreach events and round tables impacting over 1200 local businesses. Review contracts for compliance with the region’s economic development Policies, State Laws and Federal Regulations. Implement South Florida Workforce Investment Board Economic Development and Industry Sector Committee agenda. Participation in Economic Development Summits showcasing SFWIB Incentives and capturing Businesses. Present and Develop SFWIB Incentives to Top Executives in business roundtables and onsite business meetings. Identify, Prospect, Research and Close on new businesses, while cultivating on existing ones and providing follow-up services. Identify and cultivate partnerships and opportunities to promote the growth and viability of businesses in the region.§ Serve as liaison between SER Jobs & SFWIB supporting their joint efforts in advancing the economical development of the region.§ Collaborate with economic development agencies, chamber of commerce and industry focus groups.§ Identify and cultivate partnerships and opportunities to promote the growth and viability of businesses in the region.§ Acquired knowledge on Local, State and Federal Incentives for businesses to expand and/or relocate to South Florida.
